S861 PCIE-I/II «–» Flash Memory Solid State Disk(SSD) Controller

S861S86x is a series of PCIE interface controllers providing unique single chip solutions for Solid State Disk (SSD) applications.

S86x can manage multiple NAND flash memory channels (up to 5 channels), and communicates with a host via a high speed PCIE interface (up to 5Gb/s data transfer rate). Applied with SageMicro’s patented Multi-Core architecture. S86x can provide many unique features or advantages, such as multi-partitions, hidden partitions, secured partitions, isolating bad blocks among channels, and mixed flash chips with different part-numbers or even from different vendors in a single SSD.

S86x is distinguishing in data security systems. It is integrated with not only the most popular data encryption & decryption algorithms, such as AES, ECC, SHA, GOST, but also China Commercial Algorithms including SM2, SM3, and SM4. Because of all algorithms implemented by hardware circuits, any preferred algorithm can be activated by firmware and does not hurt system performance.

S86x has a DDR interface for high-end customers to boost system performance by external DRAM chip per demands. Enhanced with a sensitive on-chip voltage detector,

S86x can protect the SSD from the damage of power-cycling, therefore, provides high reliability for those industrial or mobile applications in which the power supply may be not stable enough.
