Project Description

Encryption/Decryption Module

With Extreme High Speed

Today’s cloud storage systems require very high speed data encryption/decryption operation for data security. Also, many websites and banking systems are facing the huge number of concurrent e-signature or authentication quests — they all need the technologies of powerful encryption/decryption as well as very high throughput.

SageMicro had rich experience in high speed interfaces and hardware encryption/decryption. and developed a hardware board (so called Tianmu”) as an encryption/ decryption module with extreme high speed for those market demands. Tianmu is built up with melementary security cells (Sec-Cells) while each Sec-Cell runs single encryption/decryption function.

Typical applications

  • Cloud storage system requiring high speed data encryption/ decryption
  • Website dealing with huge number of concurrent e-signature requests
  • Identity Authentication in a sophisticated system
  • Banking system to process huge number of concurrent requests

Key Features

Any one of the following high speed interfaces:

  • PCIE-I/II Compliance, data transfer rate up to 5 Gbs per lane
  • Lane number N can be 1, 2, 4 or even 8 – Max 40Gbs
    • SATA l/ll compliant (SATA III under design)
    • Data transfer rate up to 3Gbs
    • USB 2.0 interface (USB3.0 under design)
  • Data transfer rate up to 480 Mbs
  • Hardware encryption/decryption engines, thus, providing very high speed. For example 200 MBs throughput for single engine of AES – 256. Provide array of encryption and decryption engines running concurrently to reach extreme high performance.
  • Support rich algorithms including: AES, RSA, DES/3DES, SHA, & ECC as well as China’s Commercial Encryption Algorithms: (SM3, SM3, & SM4)
