The secured SSD modules are developed for the system integration vendors who need data secured in disk. SageMicro can accept customized specifications for data secured SSD products. The data security algorithm or authentication procedure can be redefined per customer s demand.

The secured SSD modules provide two unique functions: the hardware encryption & partitioning. The different partitions may have different keys or identity authentication processes. At the meaning time, a host, specified software, or network sever can recognize a specified SSD unit by each SSD unit’s unique serial number or content of e-signature. Therefore, a SSD unit can bind with a host, a certain software, or a network server by processing authentication each other. A customer can apply this series modules according to the market demands. Here are some examples:

• The SSD unit binding with a host (mother board): the data in the SSD can be limited in a specified machine or personal computers
• The SSD unit binding with a certain software. This a somehow like a hardware dog guiding your copyright.
• The SSD unit binding with a server. A server can give a personal computer license to access the data in SSD units.
