SATA-II – SD/MMC/eMMC Solid State Disk (SSD) Controller

S68x is a series of world’s pioneer controllers prompting modularization concept to manufacturing Solid State Disk (SSD) units by standard memory card modules, such as SD, MMC/eMMC, etc.S68x has SATA- t/ll interface with maximum 3.0Gb/s data transfer rate.

S68x. managing a group of SD or MMC/eMMC modules, helps a SSD vendor to get rid of the sophisticated flash memory management issue and regardless the quick updating flash memory part-numbers, therefore, making inventory more convenient. Because of the special strategies of flash vendors. SD and MMC/eMMC modules usually has the same price (cost) as that of flash memory chips in the market, and sometimes even cheaper. This makes S68x solution cost-effective.

S68x.depending on different part-number, can drive multiple memory card module channels, and 10 channels in maximum. Because a memory card module itself may be packaged with multiple flash memory dies, S68x is found effective to build up high- density SSD units, for example, 1TB or 2TB inside a single SSD with small form-factor.

In addition. S685 has embedded hardware modules of encryption and decryption algorithms, such as AES256, is regarded as good solution for data security systems.
